Megan began as a part time employee while finishing her undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota. Her degree is in Global Studies with a focus on the environment and sustainable development (yep, she is our recycling queen!). Megan is currently to begin a Masters in Social Work, hoping to attend Augsburg College in the fall of next year. She owns a five-year-old pitbull/boxer mix named Daphne and works with “A’Rotta Love” - the pitbull/rottweiler rescue. In her role with the rescue, Megan facilitates activities with the group’s therapy certified pitties and rotties at the Bridge for Youth, a homeless shelter for adolescents in Uptown Minneapolis. This is a wonderful program and Megan reports she is honored to be a part of it (and they are lucky to have her). While not a huge sports fan, she is always willing to attend live sporting events (sports on TV she finds boring) or play a little tennis. In the summer months Megan can often be found at music festivals (both as a volunteer and attendee) where she meets great people and listens to awesome musicians.
