Nora Smyth, LGSW

Nora graduated from St. Catherine University and University of St. Thomas where she received her Masters degree in the field of Clinical Social Work where she published a clinical research paper on utilizing a strategic partnership between doulas and women experiencing domestic violence during pregnancy. She is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker in the state of Minnesota and is on track to become a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. 
 
Nora is passionate about mental health and enjoys using a holistic health modalities. She has facilitated Educational Series for Assaultive Behavior to men with disabilities, a drop-in group for women with various issues, a co-occurring disorders group for women, a women’s Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills group for co-occurring disorders, Relationship Violence Intervention program for court mandated men, and provided incarcerated women who are pregnant with education and group-based support to nurture healthy mother-child relationships and increase parenting confidence. Nora is currently providing in-home, community, and school-based mental health services to middle school students and their families in ISD 197.
